There’s a Poland Caucus?

With the assistance of a translator they said, they are hoping for Oscar   that’s why the secret police informer bio has a hope in the title

Who else was there? The film’s star Robert Wieckiewicz (who pulls off Walesa’s moustache pretty well); Polish ambassador Ryszard Schnepf; and Sen. Barbara Mikulski, a member of the U.S. Senate Poland Caucus. (There’s a Poland Caucus? Who knew?)

Poland’s shame – Fr Rydzyk about black skin

British Catholic weekly The Tablet, which is one of the most popular Catholic newspaper in the world, recently described the racist joke when Fr Rydzyk listeners of Radio Maryja pilgrimage to Jasna Gora. “God, where did you not wash? Come here buddy. Look, he has not washed at all!” – Head of Radio Maryja cried at the sight of a black monk. To the laughter and applause of pilgrims.

They call clergy in Poland “blacks” for they black  cassocks.

Thanks to a Concordat between Poland and the Holy See the income of his enterprises is neither declared nor liable to tax, although the station does admit to being bankrolled by Jan Kobylanski, a millionaire who lives in Uruguay.

As his Redemptorist brothers here in the
north-east of Brazil we reject in the strongest
terms the ignorance and downright racism displayed
by Fr Tadeusz. We are ashamed,
offended and, as a tiny portion of God’s people, we apologise to our sisters and brothers
and seek their forgiveness.

expats: tuberculosis

I arrived in South Korea two weeks ago to teach English for a year. I taught before for a year and a half and then went back to the USA for two years. I did some travel to Cambodia, Myanmar, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore. After returning to the USA I went to Venezuela for three weeks.

Since a TB test is now mandatory in Korea, I went to the hospital here for a chest X-Ray. Yesterday I found that I am positive for TB. I was surprised because I never felt anything different. I am appalled, but I know that it can be treated. I am wondering now what I should do.

Has anyone else here been exposed to a disease like this? How concerned should I be?
